Survey Says: Users thirst for capacity planning tools

With storage administrators projecting storage growth for SAN and NAS at 60% and 41%, respectively, it's no surprise that they're looking for better capacity management, which leads the list of "biggest storage-related pain points" in TheInfoPro's recent Storage Study. "We do it all in our heads right now," writes one survey taker but, eventually, users would like to see capacity planning as part of a storage resource management tool or integrated directly into the array.
