Survey Says: Users back up immense amounts of data

As primary storage grows, so does backup. According to TheInfoPro's Wave 7 Storage Study, more than 50% of users are backing up at least 100TB per month, and another 28% are in the 50TB to 100TB range. Part of this growth can be attributed to data-retention policies, the study finds; some participants cited retention requirements of seven to 15 years.
