Survey Says: Data growth continues its breakneck pace

Market research firm TheInfoPro (www.theinfopro.net) has completed Wave 6 of its bi-annual survey of Fortune 1000 storage professionals, and finds

that data, especially data stored on SAN arrays, continues to grow at a staggering rate.

Respondents project that this year SAN data will grow by 60%, while NAS data will grow at a more modest 41%. That brings the average amount of SAN data for survey respondents up to 455TB usable, and brings NAS data up to 141TB.
