Snapshot: Multiple SAN fabrics common

If there was ever any doubt, let it be put to rest: SANs are well established among Storage readers. While the percentage of respondents who have no SAN infrastructure is in the single digits, 26% have one SAN fabric in place, while a whopping 68% have multiple SAN fabrics. Furthermore, the number of hosts (servers) taking advantage of SAN resources is high. Of the respondents with SANs, everyone has at least two hosts sharing the SAN storage resources, and a majority (53%) have 21 or more SAN-attached servers.
