DLT-S4 tape drives at bargain prices This month, 750GB SATA hard drive prices fell by more than 6%, down $54 since February. But the biggest price reduction among the categories we track was for DLT-S4 tape drives, which dropped more than 24% since last month. Pricing is now $2,224 vs. $2,878 six months ago. LTO-2 tape drive prices rose by more than 4% to $2,816 after some ups and downs this year. And the cost of LTO-4 media dropped to its lowest price of the year ($109). --Christine Cignoli
