QUESTION POSED ON: 05 May 2004
What are the pros and cons of NAS vs. SAN for supporting a large (~100) cluster of Web servers serving a mix of small files and dynamic content with detailed logging for marketing and security purposes?

>
There are so many variables here that discussing pros and cons without having a understanding of your environment could be very misleading or just a plain waste of time. It would be difficult to give it any credibility.

You need to either narrow down your question to more specific areas (which may lead to many questions) or engage someone or some organization to work with you in understanding your requirements -- really looking at what you need rather than a general idea -- to reply with considered ideas.
