QUESTION POSED ON: 03 February 2003 I have created a backup of some of my files because I had to have a new hard drive installed. I used Nero burning software and used a CD-RW. Now when I attempt to restore or copy these files, they will open only as read-only files. Is there any way to change this? Am I doing something wrong? It is very frustrating. I hope you can help. Thanks.

This is probably a "feature" of your CD burning software. You may have checked a read only option when you created them for example. They should be read/write.
