About the storage security vendors, most of the security is currently being handled by existing storage vendors by adding security features.
At this time, the industry is determining the right technologies to secure the storage data. The problem would ideally beg for an end-to-end solution, including security of data while stored. Besides the end points, security could also be provided at intermediate points such as at the edges of an IP network connection (to secure traffic over the IP network). So the short answer is we will see security in servers, storage networks as well as from stand alone appliances.
