In the case of a single EMC Clariion disk array failure, how long should we wait before replacing the bad disk?

I suspect that there is more to this question, but in general, you should replace a failed disk as soon as possible. In a mirrored or RAID disk environment, the longer you run in a degraded mode (with one less disk) the more likely it is that another failure will come along and cause you to lose data. It's hard for me to imagine a situation where that would not be the case.
