QUESTION POSED ON: 13 March 2003
Currently I have DAS storage for e-mail. I would like to move e-mail storage to a NAS environment. What will be my performance hit? I have a gig network.

>

You may have a performance problem but that really depends on your environment. You need to understand what you need and know what your current traffic is. Also, you'll want to consider isolating it to a separate network for security reasons. You also need to check out whether your e-mail software is supported on a NAS device. Not all are at the present time. There's homework to be done.
