What is DAT USB drive? - Definition from Whatis.com

A DAT USB drive is a tape drive with digital audio tape (DAT) that can be plugged into a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection as a simple and relatively low-cost way to back up data, especially data on servers. DAT USB makes tape backup for small businesses available in the hundreds (rather than thousands) of dollars for the first time. Tape is currently the most popular backup medium.
