iSCSI testing and crossover cabling
I'm interested in doing some iSCSI testing and I'm wondering if I can use a GigE crossover cable between two Windows machines each equipped with either Intel's Pro 1000 or Alacritech's iSCSI TOE? Can they act as both a initiator and a target to each other or do I have to use a dedicated iSCSI target device like a NAS filer?

The crossover cable should work because you're at the physical layer of
the 7-layer OSI model and whether it is iSCSI or NAS should not matter.
You should always check the information from the interface card vendor
for any restrictions or recommendations they have.
