Where to go for market share information

Can you provide any specific market share related information on Storageworks and longevity of StorageWorks SAN and tape vs. virtual array SAN and Surestore?

Since I'm a technical guy, I don't keep abreast of marketing statistics. You're better off going to someone like Gartner or IDC for those numbers. I do know that StorageWorks has a very large following. Your HP guys can offer you StorageWorks for a modular solution or the XP series for consolidation onto larger arrays or for mainframe connectivity. You can also ask your HP representative those questions, because they can provide better insight into the direction for their products than I can.
