First, it is hard to predict what the hackers have in mind. However, it is generally believed that the access to management ports is one of the very high vulnerabilities for storage networks. Through such ports, if not properly protected, there can be denial-of-service attacks -- these are low level attacks that can cripple the targeted part of the storage network.
