Q

What is "fabric"?

In refering to Fibre Channel networks, what does "fabric" mean? Is this a protocol? Or does it refer to the actual...

cables used to connect the networks?

Fabric is just a convenient term to describe the interconnection possible in the Fibre Channel network. It's just semantics.
