Q

Storing a large number of image files

Our company needs to store a large number of image files varying in size up to 10Mb each, the total volume is about 150GB. We need to access all these files on demand without breaking the bank, what media would you recommend? We have been looking at a DLT tape changer but are having trouble getting the right files 100% of the time.
Take a close look at the capacity requirements and see if you can use the new SONY 9.1 GB MO drive technology. My opinion is that MO is superior to tape for imaging applications, although the capacity limitations of MO could prevent you from using it.
