Setting up two backup jobs to perform simultaneously

Setting up two backup jobs to perform simultaneously

We have a Dell PowerVault 128t and are using Backup Exec 8.6. When I set up my backup jobs, full and two separate jobs. One job backs up one drive and the other job backs up another drive performing this task simultaneously. When the first job finishes, the second job finishes backing up its data and then proceeds to back up the first job.

I have set up and tried two different media sets and have two separate drive pools. We are trying to accomplish the backups as quickly as possible utilizing both of the backup drives. Any suggestions?

Things SHOULD work as you want them to if you've got the BE jobs configured correctly. There is no reason the second job should try to run the first job. In this case, I would suggest contacting Veritas support.
