Q

Patch panel with electronic control?

Marc,

We are trying to find a switch fabric that is, in essence, a patch panel with electronic control. No smarts in the box and no high-speed requirements. Even a small 6x6 electronic patch panel capable of 1GB signal propagation would be perfect. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

Thanks in advance.

Is this for storage? If so, look at an unmanaged FC hub. There are no Fibre Channel or Gigabit Ethernet switches that I know of that fit your description.

Regards,
Marc Farley
