Looking for a professional solution

We are a medium-sized organization. Presently, we are using tapes for backup and storage purposes. Now our demand for more storage has increased from various demands. I am looking for a professional solution where I can meet the requirements of various departments' needs, automatic scheduled backups to the professional storage area apart from tapes and robust backup and restore. Please suggest the hardware and software required for this purpose. And, mention the vendor names that are masters in this field.

That's a pretty big question. There are a few hundred companies in the industries you are talking about. Without more information on your environment though, it's difficult to know which way to point you.
