Q

Looking for SAN information

Hi Marc,

I am new to SAN stuff and have just finished my Compaq SAN courses. What sites do you recommend that I go to for some more white papers and to learn more about SAN?

Regards.

For starters, buy the second edition of my book. There is a vendor neutral explanation of SANs there and there are a lot of places to go. Try searchStorage's search engine at http://searchstorage.techtarget.com/integratedSearchAdvanced/0,289518,sid5,00.html and do an advanced search using "storage area network" (searching for "SAN" gets you SAN Diego and SAN Jose and all the cities and all their attractions). Make sure you tie the word storage into your search.

Otherwise, go to http://www.bswd.com/cornucop.htm or http://www.snia.org/ for more information.

Regards,
Marc Farley
