Implement pause control or not

Do I have to implement the pause control capability in Gigabit Ethernet? If not, what kind of problem will occur after system is deployed?

No you don't need to implement PAUSE in GbE. My friend Rich Seifert, who has written books on Ethernet and switching tells me that PAUSE is not all that useful and that it doesn't accomplish much. He believes in end-to-end flow control as opposed to link level flow control.
