Q

Fibre Attached Storage products

Can iSCSI and/or Fibre Channel technology be used with NAS or just with SAN solutions?

There are solutions now where the device allows both file (with NAS) and block (with FC or iSCSI) access. Several vendors provide them but I think Network Appliance was probably the biggest name vendor to come out with a solution early. You can look on their web site for the FAS (Fibre Attached Storage) products to get a general description of how this works.
