Educating yourself on the deployment of network storage

What are the key network impact considerations to evaluate with regards to the deployment of network storage (e.g. -- FCIP, iSCSI, NAS, remote mirroring via IP network, etc.)? I would like to confirm my assumptions.

This is a very long topic that we take several days to cover in our advanced education classes. It is too involved to attempt a concise answer over e-mail.
