Direct access storage device (DASD) maximum speed

What is the maximum storage capacity of one DASD?

DASD may have meaning to you as an IBM mainframe acronym but it does not to me. There is no maximum capacity. Magnetic storage density continues to increase. It will probably be a calculus-sort of thing that approaches some limit somewhere down the line but by then there will likely be something else to take its place.

Marc
