Q

Active/active Fibre

Can you explain active/active Fibre? What kinds of Fibre controller do I need to connect various arrays to servers or is it only through the network switch?

Active/active is normally used to refer to redundant connections where both paths have traffic and one handles all the traffic if the other one fails.

You don't have to have it to connect to a SAN. A single connection works just fine.

Marc
