A transparent software solution

I am currently in the process of designing a data center-based storage platform to support many small to medium sized businesses' data backup requirements. Can you recommend a software solution that is as "transparent" to the user as possible and allows secure partitioning at the host? Thanks in advance.

The "transparent" part is relatively easy to accomplish but secure partitioning is another thing entirely. Although most enterprise solutions only allow a given server to restore its own data, calling their authentication mechanisms "secure" is probably a stretch. There is a product that is coming out but is not generally available yet. That might offer you a solution. If you were to ask this question is a less private forum, I could probably put you in touch with the right people.
