A look at NAS product features

NetApp seems to be the most famous brand for NAS. Are there any other NAS products that have similar features, performance and pricing?

There are many other NAS vendors today. NetApp has been very successful in bringing the appliance concept to NAS and have great features with their products. Most of the major vendors offer NAS products (IBM, EMC, Sun, HP, etc.) along with many independent companies. There are so many different features that you really need to understand what your business requirements are and then look at the offerings from the vendors you want to do business with. You'll be able to choose which ones satisfy your needs and then negotiate on price.
