Q

A bright future

I have an Engineering degree in Computer Science. I have trained on Oracle 7.1 with D2K for one and half months...

and have experience of around two years in software development on Oracle 7.x with D2K. I learned Java and some packages of multimedia like Flash 5. And now, I am developing a Web site.

What else I can do to make my future bright and well settled in this field? I'd like to get a good job in the United States.

You are taking good steps to learn new skills. Your experience based on Oracle is certainly of potential value to those companies that need help in that specific area. Also, with Java you have begun to broaden your skills, and that's excellent. Some additional suggestions:

1. If your personal situation allows it, explore getting a Masters degree in Computer Science from a well-regarded college.

2. Continue to build technical breadth with learning networking protocols, other SW languages, etc.

3. Review some position descriptions for the kind of jobs that you'd like to get and compare your skills against the requirements. Then act on acquiring these additional skills.

Good luck...
